Sitting rigidly in the undersized wooden chair all the small cafes seemed to favour, Jasper looked into the coffee he had no intention of drinking. His back was arched and his chin was propped on a hand that, in turn, was being held up by his elbow on the table. The posture was altogether much unlike him. In fact, Jasper didn't even know why he'd entered the cafe at all. His eyes danced around the room, settling on the other customers for no more than 2 or 3 seconds, but it was enough to gague their reasons for being there.
Far right, the woman in the pink dress. She was excited and apprehensive. "Meeting her boyfriend..." Jasper muttered to himself, lifting the mug and touching the coffee to his lips in effort to look human. Far left, the slightly overweight man in the battered suit. He was lethargic and frustrated, no doubt on his lunch break from a particularly hard day at the office. The woman behind the counter was bored and restless and Jasper guessed she just wanted to go home. Centre of the room, a man and woman sitting together. He was relaxed, content...she was bored, "Sorry mate, not tonight..." Jasper said under his breath with wry amusement.
Jasper watched as the waitress finally left her perch from behind the counter and began to clear the empty plates away from the tables. His eyes followed her all around the room until she finally stood next to him. She looked from his face to the mug and arched an eyebrow, "Has it gone cold?" She asked, her voice tinted with vague irritation. Jasper shook his head and smiled kindly, "No. I just don't like coffee," He corrected her with a small shrug and an even wider grin. She looked at him for a moment, clearly wondering whether she out to take the cup or not, "It's fine," Jasper concluded after a while, pushing his chair back as he got to his feet, "I'm leaving anyway..." He took a crinkled note from his pocket and held it out to the waitress who looked at it blankly. After a while, he rolled his eyes and dropped it on the table. The whole cafe seemed to be watching him now and his golden eyes locked onto each of theirs in turn, "Jees, talk about awkward..." He muttered with distaste as he made he was a little cautiously now to the door.

The weather was freezing causing Evelyn to shiver rather violently, her clothing was only thing and she didnt have much meat on her, such a skinny little thing, her dress was a little ragged around the hem, with a floural pattern, her grey wool tights had holes in and a wron out patch upon her knee, her cardigan looked a little tatty, and stretched, as if someone had been pulling upon it, misshaping the material, her long dark naturally wavey hair hung down her back and hung forward slightly over her dainty slender shoulders, her hair looked a little ruffled, almost as if she had just pulled herself from bed and not bothered to comb it before she left the room, a small sigh escaped her pale pink lips as she walked along the sidewalk with her arms crossed over her chest and torso in an attempt to keep her warm, she had thankfully been able to steal a few Dollars from her fathers wallet, so she was able to buy herself a warm drink at least, not wanting to go home as of yet, as she made her way toward the coffee shop, her her head hung to hide the faint bruising upon her fale face, something that didnt even conpare to the bruising upon her chest and arms, she glanced to the sky for only a brief moment as she watched the dark rain clouds swirl around up above, it looked like ran...once again, it always rained in Forks, the one thing that Evelyn sometimes despised about this place, but only sometimes.
getting lost in herself she almost colided with the boy that was exiting the coffee shop, looking back just intime as a small gasp escaped her lips and she froze in her step "I..Im sorry sir" she said to him with the up most politness, despite the fact he was most probably around the same age as her, although she had adressed him as Sir rather then a fellow student at school.

Jasper could feel the atmosphere of the room shifting. Suspicion, caution and even a little hostility now circulated from each of the customers, "Leaving..." Jasper muttered again, holding his palms up in surrendor as he moved to the door. His eyes were on the ground now, trying to ignore the ones that were on him. He wasn't expecting the young girl. Flinching as he collided with the stranger, Jasper's reflexes spring into action. His arms flew out and grabbed hold of hers with speed that was far too quick to be human. His grip was light, but enough to steady her.
"My apologies," He said in a hushed voice as he span her around, stopping only when he was on the street and she was in the doorway. Letting his arms drop, Jasper took a step back and looked the young woman up and down. She was shivering violently, only wearing a summer dress. An eyebrow made its way up Jasper's forhead and he tilted his head to one side. For a few moments, he studied her. She was...so sad...Jasper noted until his own expression had contorted with sympathy. Taking his jacket from his shoulders - a large, grey woolen trench coat - he handed it over to her, "Here. You look cold..." He said simply as he waited for her to take it from his hands. It wasn't something he need. Afterall, Jasper never felt the cold anymore. Sure, he could tell the difference between a hot day and a cold one, but he always felt the same no matter what the weather.

"Tsssssss..." an almost silent wince escaped her lips threw pursed lips as he gipped at her arms, and spung her round, she had hardly expected this gentleman to grab her in such a way as to keep her upright, others would have just let her fall, but something was strange, the speed to which he grabbed her, had her mind been playing tricks upon her or had she really seen the unthinkable? which ever the answer it didnt matter in that moment, for this gentlman was holding out his rather warm looking trench coat to her, and as she stood there shiving behond belief she wanted nothin more then to reach out her slender arm and take it from him, and yet she knew she had to refuse, simply for the sake that the coat was his.
She picked up on his accent, although he only spoke a few words, she was sure there was Texan in there, and this only caused her to become that little more intreged, to the point that she found herself stupidly staring at him, glancing to the coat once more she snapped herself out of the daze and cleared her throat a little before slowly shaking her head "Th...thank you sir...but I....im ok...thank you" she said ever so politely in her sweet but almost crackling little voice, as if she were parched and needed something to wetten her dry throat.

What may have been almost silent to Evy caught Jasper's attention immediately. He curled his fingers into his hands, wondering if maybe he'd grabbed her tighter than he first thought. He muttered an apology with his arm still outstretched. She seemed reluctant to take his coat but it was soon shifting into a look on intrigue that made Jasper just a little bit self conscious. As Evy stared at him, Jasper stared straight back - a small frown creasing his brow all the while. But still, she seemed not to notice. He shifted his weight a little, looking up and down the street now before glancing brielfy back into the cafe. The customers were watching him again, Their heads turned to glance over their shoulders.
When she finally answered, Jasper returned his attention back to her face and smiled a little. He could hear the hints of Texan in her voice and the sound was welcoming. It was an accent he hadn't heard in a long time, but it never failed to remind him of home..."Well at least let me buy you a hot drink?" He asked now, letting his arm drop back to his side until the coat was almost touching the floor, "You sound like you need it..." He added with a small smile,

Evelyn couldnt take her eyes off of him, it seemed there was just something about him, his flawless complextion was...well...flawless, and that accent had caut her attention from the off, she wasnt even aware of the people in the cafe behind her watching and staring, and he was still holding out the temptingly warm looking coat for her to take, it wasnt until he spoke that she realised she was staring, once more hearing a little more of the magnificent Texan accent, well, it warmed her heart, it really did, as he offered to buy her a drink, well, she wasnt going to decline was she? after all, it was a free drink, and perhaps even a small chat, perhaps she could speak with this 'boy' talk to him about Texas, about him and his family, that was if he had a family, the softest of smiles tilted the corners of Evelyn's pale pink lips and her cheeks blushed a pale pink in colour as she gave a small nod of her head "sure....that would be nice....thank you" she remarked, atleast now she wouldnt get into trouble for spending her fathers money, she could simple treturn it to him with out him even knowing.
