Aro walked slowly through the trees. He'd been travelling for days now, all the way from Volterra. He had almost forgotten the unpleasant feeling of swimming deep under the Atlantic Ocean, with only silence and passing schoals of fish keeping him company. Still, it was the only way for him to reach the United States.... the only way for him to reach Washington.... Forks. Yet he had made it.
After the sheer pressure of the water pressing down on him whilst swimming, his senses seemed enhanced as he had reached the shore. His sense of smell especially.... all he could smell were the old (and more recent) trails left by passing humans. The cravings for blood insde him burned lightly at the back of his throat..... but he was on the Cullens' ground now, and, though he hated it, he would stick to their rules.
And so he fed on a passing deer, and another, wrinkly his nose as he saturated his body with the animal blood.... it tasted to him the equivalent of just-turned-sour milk..... unpleasant yet just about drinkable.
He reached the south end of the Cullens' garden before he expected. Yet he was glad to reach it. For the past three years in Volterra he had felt smothered, surrounded by those who had surrounded him for centuries, millenia even in the cases of Caius and Marcus. Although they were the equivalent of his family, he felt he needed some space. Not only from them, but from Sulpicia....
Things between the two had become tedious of late. They did not seem compatible any more, and Aro felt it. He felt there was something she was hiding from him, yet had not been close enough to her to find out for sure in a long time. And so the mystery remained....
Aro changed his pace, now walking briskly up the garden. As he reached the back door, he ensured he looked presentable, and then kncked twice, perfectly sure that anyone inside would hear, and almost certainly sure that they were expecting him....

Walking slowly through the forest, a grin spread evenly across her lips, Alice felt in a much better mood than she had hours prior. Her eyes were now a sparkling topaz color, as opposed to the onyx black they had been not long ago. She had gotten her fill off of a mountain lion, having taken the same path Edward took to get lions when he went hunting. She couldn't take Emmett's own route towards the grizzly bears, not unless she wanted Jasper mad at her for risking herself. Though it wouldn't be able to touch her, he was still as overprotective of her as he had been several years ago in the clearing with Victoria.'s Army. He had all but slaughtered each vampire that came within a two foot radius of her petite frame, even though she could take perfect care of herself. He just wouldn't be her Jasper if he wasn't any less protective than he was. After all, though she could get a bit annoyed with his protectiveness, she still loved him for it. He was her Jasper, there was no other way to phrase it.
Waiting for the few other coven members she had gone hunting with--Emmett and Rosalie, of course--Alice had to take in a deep breath when a vision, crystal clear and vivid with detail, came to her. There was only one person she saw in the vision, though she knew him perfectly. She had to watch as calmly as she could as he approached the back door to the massive Cullen house, knocking only twice on the door. What is he doing here? Where are the others? What are we being accused of? [/color] Questions came in tidal waves to Alice's mind, flooding it in less than half a second. Not bothering to call out into the forest for Rosalie or Emmett--though they would hear her perfectly if she did--Alice took off like a bolt of lightning, running past the trees without taking any notice to them. Her mind was set on just what the male was doing there, what he wanted from them. What he was there to accuse them of. Her visions hadn't told her that much, but Alice had to know. Besides, she wasn't about to let someone else answer the door without her being there. Even if she got home when he knocked, she had to be right there when the door opened. Running up the front porch steps in a rush, Alice nearly tripped, the top of her foot just skimming the edge of the last step. She had never been known to be much of a klutz, but that was an extremely lacking of balance moment on her part. Did she really care? Not right now. She had more important things to worry about. Shoving the door open and shutting it just as quickly, Alice kicked off her hunting boots, not bothering to rearrange them so the looked nice and decent. Still running, though a bit slower now, Alice nearly slid and fell on the tile, once more lacking balance. But she didn't have time to be concerned with this. She had more important things to worry about. Like just what her family was being accused of. Hearing the two taps against the back door, Alice opened it as soon as the second finished. "Aro," she greeted as cheerfully as she could. This was not going to be much fun. Stepping aside, Alice knew she would be dead if she didn't allow their guest in. Aro frowned, brows furrowed as he heard the bumps and bangs coming from inside the house. It sounded as though someone was thundering through the house, yet he did not have to time to ponder who or why. As Alice opened the door, Aro's lips curved into a slight smile - though in all honesty, he wished it had been Carlisle to answer, Alice would likely have been his second choice. Ever since he first discovered her power all those years ago in Volterra, he had had some kind of fascination with the petite beauty. Yet, regretfully, over the past three years, this fascination had been almost forgotten as he struggled to deal with important matters regarding the residents of his home-town. "Alice, what a pleasure it is to be in your company once more." he said softly, inclining his head towards her as spoke. "May I come in? I have a request for your family." He asked as pleasantly as was possible for a male with a voice such as his. Though Alice was attempting to appear cheerful for him, in her eyes Aro could see some underlying tone of falsity, as though Alice was not overly happy to see him there. He watched with slight curiosity as she stepped aside. She seemed somewhat fearful of his presence, yet he did not bring bad news. He instead, had an incredibly cheeky request.... he wast request that he could spend some time in the Cullens' residence, in order to spend time away from Volterra. Beside the rest of the Volturi, he trusted no-one more than Carlisle. [OOC: aww its fine its nice than someone replied full stop!!! so thank you .... and i'm gutted that I had to use the work cheeky... I couldn't think of anything better!!!]

Not sure what exactly Aro was doing at their back door, Alice's mind was full of questions, ready to unleash them all at once. What he was doing there, what he wanted from them. Everything that anybody would suspect and more when one of the leaders from the most powerful people in the world was standing at ones back door. Alice had to admit that she wasn't too surprised by it all--after all, the Cullen's had been clearly watched the past few years, primarily since Bella was introduced before them, and even further so when Renesmee was born. It was as if the Volturi had nothing better to do but watch them, watch their every little move, hear their every little thought. Did they? More than likely no. After all, there were at least a hundred other vampires in the world for them to be considered with, why spend all their time focusing on one coven? Even if they were a larger coven than most were, and did feed off of animal blood. The rest of the vampire world was just as important as they were. So what was Aro doing here?
Fear was vibrant in Alice's veins, a fear that wasn't about to go away any time soon. Alice was a bit intimidated by Aro's sudden appearance, though she was also just as terrified of what his reason being there was. Her visions wouldn't tell her, which was annoying her far too thoroughly. Stepping aside even further, Alice nodded her head at Aro. Might as well make some attempt to be at the very least somewhat hospitable. "Forgive me, sir. Please, come in," Alice said quietly. Her manners had definitely disappeared to some extent the moment Alice had seen Aro in her visions. Was she afraid? Yes. Was she going to let him hurt anybody in her family? Never. Even if Alice was only the size of a mere pixie, she wouldn't let a soul touch her family. Though far smaller than the rest of the Cullen family--perhaps even amongst the smallest of the vampires in the world--Alice still wouldn't let a soul person bring harm to her family. If there had ever been anything the Cullen's had in common, it was definitely their protectiveness. They were all far too protective of each other.
Alice hadn't missed that Aro had a request for them, but she hadn't seen this far into the future. She was curious as to what it was, and wanted to know soon. "Request? So we're not in trouble?" Alice asked, unsure if she was hearing this right. If Aro really was there for a mere request, this was definitely good news. It meant their lives weren't at stake, that they wouldn't be sentenced to death. They had done nothing wrong--or at least as far as Alice knew. And she was sure that none of them had. After all, she would've been first to see it if they had done something wrong--Edward would've been first to hear news of it, respectively. "I'm sure Carlisle will be able to help you in some way. Though I'm not sure what you request of us, nor how long you will be staying if you do have to remain here for some time, there is one thing we ask of you. A rule, you could say. Just don't hunt in the immediate area--we can't afford to break the treaty with the shape shifters," Alice informed him, making sure she said--and emphasized--shape shifters as opposed to wolves. As far as the treaty went, it wasn't particularly Aro's business--he just had to know not to hunt in the immediate area.
