GENERAL
- You must respect this forum and everybody in it; staff, members and even guests. This means that this is to be no bullying whatsoever. Any bullying in any form will lead to immediate banning, so do not be afraid to contact an administrator if it happens; we will require proof though. Adding onto this rule, racism or any other type of discrimination will not be tolerated as this is another form of bullying. In character is fine, so long as it’s not over the top.
- You must be thirteen years of age or older in order to sign-up and post here. This is something that you agree to when you first register at the board and anyone under thirteen will be deleted without notice. Sorry, but these are the rules set by proboards so we must go by them too.
- Swearing is fine in moderation, but we do wish for you to respect it. We do not wish for every word in the sentence to be a curse word; it doesn’t happen in real life so it shouldn’t happen on the site.
- This site is a maturely rated site, so DO NOT come running to an administrator complaining that you’ve read something ‘disgusting’ or something offending, or something you don’t like. You’ve been warned that the site contains sex, possible murders and other things of squeamish nature. The only thing we do not tolerate is self-harming. There’s enough of it in the real world, but we shan’t tolerate it on the site; just no. Sex, yes: Murder: Possibly. Self Harm – NO!
- There will be activity checks. Some may be the usual activity check where we place it up and you sign it. Others may be where we visit every profile and see if they’ve been active. We will do a first check and any that haven’t been on within three weeks and posted, will receive both a PM and an email warning them that if they don’t post, their account will be deleted. The second time, if they haven’t posted, will get an email telling them their account has been deleted. We will warn players when this is about to happen.
- You are allowed as many character's as you want, but we try to limit it to three per player. If you want anymore, you must have twenty in character posts before creating another one and you must be able to handle them all, or the most recent one will be deleted without warning.
ROLE-PLAYING
- All the basics apply. No god-moding, no power-playing, no Mary-sue or Gary-Stu characters. Register your account with your character’'s name or something similar. No iloveedwardcullen<3 or mastercrankbutt. It makes the forum seem much tidier than if the name appears as mastercrankbutt.
- You must use our form to apply or your application will not be read. It might be silly and pretty much given, but it has been known to happen so we’d thought we’d make it clear.
- You must use a real person; anime, cartoons or artwork are not allowed. You can use a sing, model, an actress – whatever; just not anime or cartoons.
- There must only be one character per account. If you wish to have a new character, you must create a new account for it as it makes everything a lot less confusing. Also, if you’re going to post a reply, make sure you do it on the right account. Accidents are fine but replying with all your characters in one post can get really confusing so do not do it. Please… I said please. Try to give the character’s you do ratio too. For every two males, have a female and vice versa; same goes with mafia members, Chicago officials etc.
- We do require some activity; not every single hour, nor every single day. But every few days we would like it if you logged on and posted in an in character thread; not OOC ones, but IC ones. Signing in and not posting after a certain amount of time is unacceptable and we do realize that everyone is busy and the real life takes priority, but still sign in to check posts and PM’s, but we do ask that people are frequent with their posting.
- We also ask that people have a wide variety in their posts and more importantly, who they post with. Some sites show a wide amount of grouping, making friends and posting with them and them alone. Posting with only a small amount of people and not others is not only unfair but also unjustifiable; especially if the character is a canon or important in the plot.
- If you start with a thread, you are at a liability to follow it through. If there’s a reason given by the other part and accepted as to why it shan’t continue than that’s fine, but to have it unfinished is quite boring and unfair.
- No text talk! If there’s one thing that angers me, it’s text talk. Tiz nt kwl 2 spk like this izit? Also, no double posting; if it’s done accidently then fair enough, but not because you forget to add something. Just edit the post. We also require a minimum of two hundred words. That’s not too hard to achieve now is it?
- No injuring, killing, maiming or seriously harming another player’s character without their permission.
- Try not to post one-liners, but in turn, try not to post novels either. Try to incorporate what your character sees, feels, hears, smells and thinks into your threads – you don’t have to do all of these. It’s not about dialogue either.
- Whilst we don’t expect you to take turns like preschoolers, we do expect everyone to give others a decent amount of time to post. Basically, don’t get carried away with a thread so that someone gets left behind; people have lives too.
FLAGS
- (Donovan/Spencer) – This means it is meant for those specific characters only. Do not go and join the thread as its private.
- (OPEN) – The thread occupant(s) are willing to let others join, and most often are even looking for others to join.
- (M/R/Mature) – A thread that contains M/R/Mature means that it contains something unsuitable for those under that age or those weak of heart. These threads could contain explicit violence or sexual content.
- (Closed) – This is the flag you should put in the title once a thread is finished so that Admin can move the thread to the file archives (grave-yard)
CONSEQUENCES
- With the exception of campaigning against admin and pulling other players into personal disputes: we will adhere to the following format with regards to rule violations. Active campaigning against admin and pulling players into personal disputes will be grounds immediate removal from the game.
1st Offence - Private Warning/Reminder to your pm inbox, e-mail or Instant mail
2nd Offence - Discussion with person(s) involved
3rd Offence - On list (that means a post in a public forum) reprimand. ( If it gets bad enough for this trust me, you will have been given every opportunity to clear up anything you could either by PM, IM, or chat.)
4th Offence - Probation, length of time to be determined by severity of infraction and the Staff
If you're prohibited more than four times then you may before suspended from play and your accounts deleted. You may talk to the Staff and we will then discuss it. It will take a majority vote to remove a Player from the game so you cannot be banned simply because of a personality conflict with a Staff member. Likewise, it will take a majority vote to allow you back into the game.
