Billa strolled down the street, his chocolate eyes done in its smoky makeup, his hair put up to resemble a palm tree. As always, he wore all black, almost blending in with the shadows as he walked. The wind playfully messed with his hair and toyed with his short sleeved jacket, it ended at his elbows, revealing the tattoo he had. The ink running up and down his forearm, spelling out the word “freedom” On each of his pale and slender finger rested a collection of rings, all black and white, the same colors as his nails. Behind him, almost as long as he was, was his shadow; stretching down the concrete sidewalk, casted by the sun, half hidden by the landscape. It was his favorite time of day, sunset.
His boots kicked at a rock as he walked, the thing bounced away and on to the road, He took a deep breath, it wasn’t needed but he had been living with the humans for a while, so it was more of a habit. He glanced at the sky, colors of red, yellow, orange and many in between, it was so pretty, majestic, and as soon as the sun disappeared; thousands of stars would come out and play. The moon should shine in all it’s glory. It was simple, the same thing happened day after day, but so many people overlook it. Everyday, people don’t notice the simple things that make up like, even when he was still living he would sit on the roof and watch the sunset, the stars, and the moon. Every moment he saw something special, now…things changed. He was no longer human, but he still got to see and enjoy the moments that make him smile.
He walked into the supermarket, bored. He glanced at the items uninterestingly. Nothing here was the things he would buy. He preferred to live expensively; therefore, nothing here was that interesting. His eyes continued to look around as he entered the music store, looking at all the CD there were, he read over the artist, none really interested him much. But he picked out a few anyways and read over the songs always into trying new things and listening to new songs.

Evelyn left the house with a purse full of her fathers money, she needed to buy groceries, and her father had granted her the 'privalige' of taking a trip to the local supermarket, giving her some money for the food and other such things, he was in a suprisingly good mood on this day, and Evelyn was thankfull for that, as she made her way down the side walk, a soft smile upon he rlips as she glanced up at the sky, the usual grey and dismal clouds that filled the skky where now a white colour, fluffy, and some what pretty, atleast that w\s a good sign, for it meant they wouldnt have any rain today, that was something Evelyn was happy about, and she hoped that soon she might even see a little sunshine.
Turning in the street she hurried across the road after glancing both ways, she could see the supermarket in her isght now, it wasnt far to go anymore, and she picked up her pace just alittle, she still wore that tatty cardigan, but she was wearing a different dress, and her legs were tightless, her long dark hair looked well groomed and well, it was pinned back from her face, for the bruising upon her cheek bone had healed itself and she felt that she no longer needed to hide her pretty face.
As she entered the supermarket she glanced aroun dherself before reaching for a trolley and made her way to the first isle, she pulled a scrutched up piece of paper from her pocket, which seemed to be her shopping list, as she began to walk down each ilse, fetching the things she needed, placing them into the trolley when ever she reached the end of each isle.
Finally coming across the music isle, Evelyn glanced down only briefly, and thats when she saw him, standing there examining a Cd, a soft smile slipped upon he rlips and her eyes sparkled with slight excitment, as she began to make her way toward him that cute little smile upon her pale pink lips "Billa?" she chimmed sweetly.

Billa continued to look through the CD, occasionally stopping to look closely at an album, mostly AFI and My Chemical Romance, but he already had those albums, so he would put it back and continue to search for something interesting. When he heard someone call his name he looked up, recognizing that voice. He turned, CD in hand and smiled at her. “Hallo Evelyn,” he answered. She looked better and he was grateful that he didn’t see her laying on the ground bleeding or something. “What are you doing here?” he asked, taking the CD and several others, looking at the title and holding on to it. “Guitar…” he muttered and looked around, wondering where he can buy new strings for his guitar. He scowled and turned back to her quickly.
“How have you been?” he asked, not forgetting the last time they met each other. He ran his fingers through his wild hair and gazed at her, his full lips lifting up in a small smile. He leaned against the shelf casually and offered her and hand with the trolley she was pushing. “Need help?” he asked.

Evelyn actually seemed really happy to see him, as she glanced to the CDs in his hands, listening to his words, she tucked a little of her dark hair behind her ear as she grinned sweetly to him "I umm..I just came to get some groseries" she informed him as she gestured to the trolley and the shopping list in her hand, as she hear dhim ask how she had been she gave a small nod of her head and glanced down to the list in her hands "I;ve been good...actually...really good" she todl him, and it was the trueth, it seemed that the small chat she had, had with him previously, had helped her alot, and the fact that her father seemed to be in better moods recently, as he asked her if she needed help with the trolley she glanced tot he metel frame on wheels and hesitated for amoment "I..uhh..I think i;ve got it" she told him before she glanced back and looke do this flawless pale face "so.....how have you been?" she asked him curiously,

Billa chuckled and nodded. He turned to her and shrugged. “I’m the same as I’ve always been,” he answered softly, his eyes on hers. He never forgot how pretty she was, and now that she looked healthy, she looked even better. He glanced at the list as she answered and nodded, slightly. “Yea, I’m just here, looking for something to do,” he admitted, his pierced brow lifting up as he watched a child ran by, followed shortly by his mother. “Though interesting things seem to happen in supermarkets...” he mused, remembering the last time he went to a store like this one.
He turned back to her again and smiled, watching her put the strand back behind her ear. “That’s good to hear. You seem…happy,” he chuckled and decided to put some of the CDs back, planning to buy the ones he needed or really wanted instead. He looked around the store, this was it. It was going to drive him crazy. He needed the expensive stores; he needed to buy some sunglasses, and not the cheap kind. The thing was, he needed to go and buy something nice, sleek, and new or else he wouldn’t be very happy. That was only because the stores here were cheap, the items weren’t that nice, and the clothes he usually buy weren’t in stock. Oh well.
He put his hand behind his back, stuffing it in his back pocket, on hand still holding on to the CD. “Here to buy yourself something nice to?” he asked, a smile on his lips. A necklace would look nice on her. He wouldn’t lie.

Evelyn chuckled lightly, as his compliment reached her ears she gave a small nod, she was happy, very happy now she had seen him, her eyes glanced to the small child as he ran by before she followed Billa's gaze to the mother "interesting" she whispered almost sarcastically before glancing once more back at him, watching him return a few of the CD's that he formally had in his hands, trying to examine what sort of things he listened to, interesting indeed, she let another chuckle escpae her lips, although she wasnt quite sure as to why, or even where it had come from, when he asked her if she were buying herself something nice she glanced to his face, almost as if he had told a bad joke before shaking her head "oh no...no...i'm just here to buy the groceries...I havent enough for anything for myself" she told her as she smiled softly, sure it would have been nice to have been able to buy herself something pretty, but she didnt mind too much, she had never been spoilt..so really, she didnt know the difference "papa only gave me enough for the grocerys" she clarified as she patted her cardigan pocket which held her purse.

Billa nodded and watched the woman chase to boy until they were out of site. He chuckled and twisted with one of his rings, unthinkingly. He licked his lips and turned to her, thankful he wasn’t in a mood or was hungry. He enjoyed talking to her, but it would have nice to meet her somewhere nice, pretty, and peaceful; and she would look relaxed, calm, and okay. But at least he got to see her at all, which was the good thing. After all, you never know when you lose a friend, they just come and go, and sometimes you have nothing to do about it and can’t even control it.
Billa cocked his head to the side and frowned at her statement. “Come on…” he muttered and gently took her hand and trolley, walking to the jewelry side of the store. “I think you deserve something nice once in a while.” He informed her quietly. He walked to the side of the cases and peered in. Again, they weren’t that nice, nor very expensive, but some of them looked decent at least. He glanced at her and waved her over. “Do you like any of them?” he asked, a smile on his face. He didn’t want to seem to be doing that because she was poor, but the last time they met she was a nice girl, to him. Everyone in life should have something nice, growing up he knew what it’s like to live lacking money and nice things, he didn’t want her to feel that way.

Billa smiled slightly at her, damn that was cute. He turned and asked the jeweler to take out the simple one. As the man busied himself Bill turned to her and chuckled. “It doesn’t matter if you have money or not, you’re not paying for it,” he informed her. He walked over and took both of her hand, pulling her to the counter. “Its fine, just have a look,” he insisted quietly.
He looked at the merchandise as the man handed it over. He took it gently and handed it to her, leaning against the glass with his elbows as he watched her reaction silently. He offered it to her, an innocent smile on his face as he did so. “Do you want me to put it on for you?” he asked, his voice laced with curiosity and admiration. It really would look nice on her, that is, if she decided to put it on. He lifted his hand, filled with much collection of rings he had brought, none of them were cheap either, but he never brought anything cheap for that matter. He put it next to her and smiled. “I like it, it would look great on you.”

"no...no..no" Evelyn said as he took her hands and pulled her toward the counter "Billa...please...I simply couldnt..." she insisted, she couldnt let him spend his money on her, she simply couldnt, as he spoke her cheeks blushed a pale pink in colour, and her eyes caught sight of the necklace, it was very pretty, simple but pretty, perfect really, her eyes twinkled with admiration as she saw it in his hands, but still she had to refuse it...did she not? bitting her lower lip ever so ever so gently as she stood looking between the necklace and Billa's eyes "please.....I really cant let you buy that for me" she urged as she stood there, but the necklace had captivated her, she so desperatly wanted to try it on, she had never really had anything pretty to wear.

Billa pouted and shook his head. ”No, this is for you…I’ll buy it…” he offered and leaned forward to put it on anyways. It looked prefect, as if it was made to be on her neck. Though the metal was silver, and her skin was pale (though not pale compared to his) the small red stone on it make it pop and one would see the stone, then look at her face, making it prefect, it brought attention to her face more, and that was what was needed, she seemed to hide behind her hair often.
He turned and wheeled her to the mirror, standing behind her and gazing at her reflection also. Though this time he let go of her and just leaned back, his hands in his pocket as he watched the little stone sparkle and twinkle in the light. It looked nice, and he wouldn’t be able to find another like this one that goes with her so well, even if he lived forever, so she should have it. ”It doesn’t really matter…I’m still buying you it,” he replied softly.
It was funny. He never cared like this before. In fact, every time she leaves he would go back into the bitch that everyone had always known. In fact, he would change back and be more selfish, bitchy, harsh and heartless like he had always been his entire life. But things seemed…quiet and nice when he was around her. Either way, he could only be nice for so long without snapping back. He was never the nice person, and whenever he had a girlfriend or something along those lines, if he really cared then he would pick a fight with whoever got in their way. It was simple, he hated the world at times, especially when he’s hungry, but at times he just walls it up the best he can and tried to be positive about it.

there was obviously no way she was going to be able to refuse this gift, as he placed it aroun dher neck she smiled softly pulling her hair forward over her shoulder and out of his way so he could fix the clasp closed, she glanced down for a moment, as he walked her to the mirror to take a look at herself she bit her lower lip ever so gently, and threw her long dark hair back over her shoulder as the curls bounced gently and cascaded down her slender back "its....its beautiful" she whispered with a soft smile as one of her hands came up to touch at the small red stone, it was true, it was very, very beautiful, and it complimented her very, very well, a small tear came to her eyes, the timy little crystle like droplet trickled slowly down her cheek before she wiped it away, she glanced to Billa through the mirror, looking to his reflextion as she whispered gently "thank you" she whispered ince more before she turned aeround and threw her arms aroun dhis neck in a gentle embrace.

Billa let out a gasp, taken by surprise with the hug. He chuckled quietly and hugged back lightly. He pulled back so he could look at her. “I like it…” he murmured and turned to the man at the counter, already pulling out his wallet to buy it. He pulled out his credit card and handed it to the man before turning back to her, leaning against the case casually as he laughed lightly. He couldn’t help but buy it for her, she needed something nice once in a while, someone time someone just needs a little pampering, after all, they like to feel as if they are not alone, as if they could be happy In the end, it all comes down to hope. Hope that someone cares; hope that they can live a fairly normal life or a rich life. Not matter how small it would be, it was there, and that was what mattered to them.
He reached over and ran a finger down the chain as he admired it on her. “You look…breath-taking…with it on…” he whispered appreciably, and pulled away, turning to give her the box and take back the card. He handed it to her without a word, his gaze slightly hazed and distant.

Evelyn stood ther with the biggest grin upon her pale little face ever, she couldnt remember the last time she had smiled quite like that, she was truely happy, and well being spoilt like that made her giggle stupidly, tilting her head slightly to one side she watche dhim as he paid for the necklace, the beautiful necklace that she was wearing around her slender neck, as he reached his hand out and traced his finger over the chain her body froze slightly and she shuddered a little, hoping he hadnt noticed, her cheeksclushed a pale pink in colour, the blood rushing to the surface, as he handed her the box she took it from him almost shyly now as she glanced to the man behind the counter with a gentle smile before returning those piercing blue eyes of hers to focus back upon Billa "thank you.....again.....it means alot to me...it really does" she told him before she glanced to the trolley "I ummm...I should probably go and pay for my shopping" she mused as she slipped the necklace box into her pocket, that of course was an open invitation for him to join her, as she went to push her trolley to the tills at the other side of the jewlery counter.

Billa watched at her reaction to his touch, realizing it was too much. He should be doing that anyways. As she spoke he nodded and smiled. “Yea, I’ll go too, I need to pay for these…” he gestured to the CD and followed her.
His footsteps were light, it was as if he traveled on air, he was graceful too, careful not to run into anyone. He kept an eye on her as they walked. Stuffing his hand on his pocket he glanced around, his lips twisting into a smirk and a chuckle. He didn’t understand the concept of being a relentless bitch one moment, then turning around, seeing her, and then being a charity case. Not that he mind that he brought her something, it was why he considered it in the first place. He sighed, running his finger through his hair and glanced at the box in the cart. He didn’t get it. What he becoming soft? Fuck no. That wouldn’t be happening any time soon.
He walked side by side with her, not saying anything at the moment, until a thought randomly popped in his head. “What do you do for fun?” he asked her softly it was loud, but she could heard him, he knew it.

it wasnt too much, not at all, she had mearly reacted like that, for the only time she was touched by a man was when her father beat on her, she smiled softly as he walked with her, a new friend, a friend that gave beautiful girfts, she couldnt help but smile a little more as her hand moved to the necklace again, when she reached the counter she leant over and began to place her objects upon the convay belt so that the girl could put them through the check out, when Billa asked her what she did for fun she glanced at him with a little grin upon hr lips "I dance.....and I paint" she told him with that same grin upon her lips, her piercing blue eyes still twinkiling gently as she continued to bput her things on the counter "what about you?....what do you do?" she asked him curiously.

Billa stood slightly behind her, looking at a bog of chips. They never had that when he grew up. Why not? Everyone seemed to like it now…do it really taste that good? Billa frowned, that wasn’t fair! He would never get to try one of those. Ah…so being immortal does change a bit how you live. Like never eating real food again.
He scowled and turned to her, her back was to him, bending over the conveyer belt to put the things on there. He could help it; he smirked and licked his lips. Hey, he was a guy, and that was tight. He shook his head as she spoke up, snapping his attention to her words. “Really? Dancing? I must see you dace one day..and see one of your painting, maybe I can get rich off of it..” he joked. He placed the stick between her things and his, placing his CD on the moving surface also.
He instantly shifted his mood and became wary as she asked him in return a question. How does he tell her in his spare time he attacks people and drains them dry? He wouldn’t. “I write songs,” he answered smoothly, his voice slightly cautious. It wasn’t a lie, he did like to write, but it wasn’t the truth either. But what she doesn’t know wouldn’t kill her. And its true. It would his little secret.

"oh no..no...far to embarressing, and really my paintings are terrible" she told him with a smll smile as she tucked a little of her dark hair behind her ear, she never showed anyone any of her paintings, her drawings, nor did she dance infront of people, she was too shy, confidance wasnt one of her strong points, it then clicked that he had said he could get rich on the paintings "hang on...thats not fair...how comes you could get rich on them...and not me?" she questione dhim cheekily with one of her dainty brows raised before she let a small chuckle escap,e the beeping of the till going as her items were pushed through, she stood there bagging the things up, when Billa said about him writting songs, she became very intreged "oh my...you do?...thats facinating" she remarked with genuine awe in her tone and eyes.

Billa shrugged and smirked. “I get the money because I have the original, never released to be sold works.” He answered simply. “And the reason that it was never released was because I stole them for my own benefit.” He snickered evilly, just to see the reacting of everyone else, it was enough to send chills up peoples back. As a matter of fact, after he laughed everyone that was near him moved away to another counter, mothers clutching their kids as teens stared at him, slightly scared. He chuckled, lighter this time and looked at all that remained, his eyes challenging as he glared at them. The response? They left as fast as their human legs could carry them. Pretty soon, it was just him and a few others who think he’s harmless, just another boy scaring away people.
He turned back to her as she spoke up again. “Yea…I write…and play the piano too,” he answered, the menacing tone was gone, replaced by innocence. “They aren’t that good, but its more of a personal thing.” He continued. He never let anyone read his work, no those were words straight from his head or heart down to paper, and knowing how another thinks is a weakness. He burned them after he writes them anyways, why keep sheets of paper lying everywhere when you could just remember it? He was, after all, a vampire, and that was how his mind works.

Evelyn looked to Billa with her brow raised slightly as he laughed in the manner to which he did, Evelyn couldnt help but chuckle lightly at the looks on the other peoples faces, and the way they had reacted, she thought they were all a bunch of wierdo's quite frankly, as she cotninued to bag her things up placign them back in the trolley, in there carrier bags, as she went to get the noney out to pay, thats when she hear dhim, he played the piano?...wow...Evelyn glanced to him then and smiled fondly "Oh my...I would love to be able to play the piano" she remarked with a hopefull expression upon her pale little face, perhaps he could teach her.
