Bella was usually with her family during most of the day, but today she decided to go out on her own for a while. The house was quiet, and she walked out the door and into the forest. There were still plenty of deer here, and she needed to hunt. It took a while for her to get used to her red eyes and her new grace and beauty, but she was getting better and better every day. She was thankful for that, though. She didn’t kill humans, and she was able to control herself most of the time. It made her a little cocky, but really, who could blame her? Not even Edward had done this well his first few years. That was another thing she had to get used to. Edward would be there forever, always by her side. She loved it. She finally had forever to spend with him. And she had a wonderful family too. She shook her head a little and tried to concentrate. She saw a deer a little further ahead. Perfect. She snuck up to it quietly, hiding behind various trees and bushes. It hadn’t even seen her coming.

With one pounce, she’d caught it. The blood wasn’t that appetizing, but she had to deal with it. She didn’t know what other animals hid out here, but she had Edward to explain things. He’d know. Once she was done, she stood up straight and brushed herself off. Not a drop of blood had gotten onto her clothes. She went hunting for a few more deer, and they all went the same way. She smiled to herself. It had gone quicker than she thought. With that done, she had nothing else to do for the time being. She stood there for a moment, thinking. She didn’t want to go back to the main house yet. It always seemed so crowded now that she and Edward were living there again. Nessie and Jake had taken over their cottage, and Bella missed it. Esme had promised to find something else for them, though, so that was good. Still, she missed the old one. She decided to go there. Nessie probably wasn’t there anyway.

She always liked to spend time with the rest of the family, and they were all back at the main house. She could have the little cottage all to herself again, at least for a while. With that in mind, she ran off toward the direction of it. It didn’t take long at all for her to get there, and she wandered through it, checking every room. It was completely empty. After a minute, she walked back into the small garden. It was always really beautiful out here, and now that her senses were enhanced, she could see every little detail. Smiling, she walked further into the garden and sat down on the soft grass. She loved being outside, even though it sometimes rained like crazy. She kept a smile on her face and looked around, wondering what everyone was doing at the moment.

So having a day to myself wasn’t turning out the way I wanted all I could think of was finding Bella, even after 5 years since her being turned I didn’t like being away from her. She was my world and I felt like I needed her more and more, especially now that Nessie had reached maturity and I could feel her slipping away from me. She had Jacob had plans to get married and I can tell you it is not something I was happy about but I knew she was too hot headed like her mother to listen to me. If I tried to convince her to put it off slow down date some other people she would likely pack up and run away with Jacob and I would rather have her close.

I had been wandering through the forest, just taking my time and thinking, I had fed an a dear but only out of boredom by eyes already shone golden. If I had actually been thirsty they would have been a deep black. I made up my mind what I really wanted was to spend the rest of the day with my wife. I was on my way back to the main house when I caught her scent on the breeze, she had been through her recently, I decided to follow her path.

Racing through the forest now, eager to find Bella now that I had made the decision to do so. The scent took me into a clearing where I could see the evidence of Bella’s hunting trip, I picked up her scent on the other side where she had left the clearing again and it was soon clear that she was headed for the cottage. Tho cottage Esme had re-built for Bella and myself for a wedding present, the one that despite my better judgement we had given up to Nessie and Jacob to allow them some privacy.

I approached the door and it pushed aside with ease, a quick check of all the rooms revealed no one else here, it wasn’t until I walked out into the garden that I saw her, her body folded up as she sat on the grass. “Now that’s a sight for sore eyes” I said my voice soft as velvet, I didn’t speak loud I didn’t need to she would hear. I leaned against the door frame that lead to the garden just looking at her where she sat on the ground, I couldn’t hear her thoughts I have never been able too just blissful silence. Being in everyone’s head all the time was frustrating and crowded to say the least, so even though it frustrated me to no end to not know what she was thinking when she gets into one of her silent moods it was also nice to be able to be with someone who’s thoughts didn’t intrude on my own.

Bella sat there in the garden, continuing to think about her family. She was getting bored again, and she was close to running up to the main house and asking Alice to dress her up. Wow, she must have really been bored. Something caught her ears then, and it sounded like someone running. But it was too fast to be a human. A vampire? Bella wasn’t scared of this thing, whatever it was, but she wondered who it could be. Only the Cullens and Jake knew where the cottage was located. She heard the door open then, and a faint scent reached her. She couldn’t be sure who it was yet, but that person went through every room in the cottage, finally making their way to the garden. Bella instantly knew who it was. Edward. She smiled to herself and waited for him to speak.

“Now that’s a sight for sore eyes,” he said, his voice soft. Bella grinned and picked herself up, turning to face him. He looked breathtaking, especially today. His shirt was light, with thin blue stripes, and his jeans were dark and loose. His bronze hair was a mess, as usual, and his eyes were the typical bright gold. Still grinning, Bella walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Her eyes locked with his. “I was wondering when you‘d show up,” she teased. Ever since Bella had become a vampire, it was almost unbearable to be away from Edward for more than an hour. And she couldn’t keep her hands off of him. He had the same problem. Not that that was a bad thing. Bella liked when they spent alone time together.

“It‘s not very nice to keep a girl waiting, you know,” she said, pouting a little. She was still teasing him, and it was always fun to watch his reactions. Smirking, she leaned in and kissed him chastely. It had been a while since they’d been able to spend a whole day together alone, and she regretted not doing it more often. And it wasn’t just because they were both attracted to one another. It was because Edward was perfect for her. They liked the same music, books, everything like that. They were the true definition of soul mates.

Leaning against the door, looking out on the garden to where Bella sat folded on the ground I felt a feeling of peace and serenity settle over me, all the things I had been worrying about seemed to fade away into the background. She looked so stunning in the soft light surrounded by flowers and the little pond Esme had added there. I watched the grin form on her face as she lifted herself off the ground with a grace she never used to possess until she was changed, and then she had gone from biggest cutest klutz to most graceful gorgeous vampire, she was even more graceful then Alice now that she was one of us. It didn't take her long to dance into my arms, her strides were so graceful and easy, I remember when I used to have to watch this girl to catch her when she tripped over her own feet, it was funny to think that, that would never be necessary ever again even after 5 years since the change these things amazed me, it was like she was born to be a vampire, no one had ever fitted into vampire life so easily as her.

My arms opened easily and wrapped around her waist as she stepped into the circle of my embrace, her arms snaked around my neck and her lyrics flowed over me, even in their teasing tone they were like a welcoming breeze. "If your going to get impatient about when I arrive maybe I should go steal some handcuffs off the police so you can never leave my side" I answered her my words soft and teasing as first i laid a gently kiss upon her hair. She made me laugh the way she pouted and teased me if I was away from her for what she considered too long and now it brought a smile to my face watching her in my arms, as she stretched up slightly to kiss me, it was teasing, nothing more then a simple peck, and as she pulled away I groaned slightly. "If you insist on teasing me so I can not be responsible for my actions"

I said my words soft as I whispered into her ear, even as I said this my hands moved to her face and I bent toward her kissing her forehead tenderly before leaning down and kissing her lips with passion. I missed those first days in this cottage being so free to explore each other without worrying about the noise we made doing so, now back at the main house we had to be more conservative. I would have to find a place for just us again soon, for I greatly missed the times when we could just let go and not worry about others.

Bella smiled as she made her way to Edward. Even if she was an amazingly fast and graceful vampire, she felt as if she couldn’t reach him fast enough. His eyes stayed on her the entire time, and she would have blushed if she’d been human. When she finally reached him, his arms wrapped around her waist, making her feel completely relaxed. She forgot everything else when she was with Edward. At her comment, he smiled. "If you’re going to get impatient about when I arrive, maybe I should go steal some handcuffs off the police so you can never leave my side." She grinned and raised her eyebrows at that. “Maybe you should,” she agreed, still teasing him. He kissed her hair, and she smiled again. He smiled back, and she forgot that she’d been giving him a hard time about leaving her.

After she kissed him, she pulled away. He groaned, and that made her smile grow even more. "If you insist on teasing me so, I can not be responsible for my actions." Before she could reply with another witty comeback, he took her face in his hands and kissed her forehead. Then he kissed her passionately. Her fingers tangled in his hair, and she pulled herself closer to him. As they kissed, she caught his lower lip between her teeth and bit it gently. Finally, she pulled away, breathing hard. It was unnecessary for a vampire, but it felt awkward not to do it. She grinned at him again and took his hand, pulling him inside the cottage.

As far as she knew, no one else was there, so they could finally have some time alone together. It felt good not to have to worry about bothering anyone else in the house. Keeping a hold on his hand, she walked toward the guest bedroom. Really, Esme had done a fantastic job decorating. Bella was definitely going to ask her to build them another house for themselves. As they entered the large room, Bella shut the door behind them. Then she turned back to Edward. “You really shouldn’t have kissed me,” she said, smirking at him. “Now I won’t be able to let you leave,” she continued, teasing him again. With that, she stepped forward and kissed him again.
